HUD head up display (Head Up Display), also called head-up display system. It can map important information on the holographic half mirror on the windshield, so that the driver can see the important information clearly without lowering his head.
Driving on a complex and changeable road, leaving the driver’s eyes away from the front of the vehicle is a very dangerous thing, especially on highways. So many models are equipped with a vehicle that does not need to be moved
You can know the basic information configuration of the vehicle by looking at it. This is the HUD head-up display.
1. HUD advantages
1. The HUD information display position is higher than that of the traditional combination meter. In other words, when the driver wants to view vehicle information, he only needs to lower his head 5-10° through the HUD; while looking at the combined instrument, it needs to be lowered by 20-25°.
2. When the driver views the driving information from the instrument cluster, his eyes shift from the road to the instrument cluster and then to the road. Due to the high brightness of the road and the low brightness of the instrument cluster (in the car), the eyes will go from bright to dark and then to dark.
During the brightening process, the pupils of the eyes will adjust; at the same time, the focus point of the eyes will go from far to near to far. When the driver looks at the information from the HUD, his eyes don't need to be so tossed.
Combining the above two aspects, the driver's use of HUD can reduce the time of sight shifting, the changes in the pupils of the eyes caused by the shift of sight, and the changes in the focus point of the eyes. The final result is that the driver’s sight and attention will be better.
Less deviate from the road and improve driving safety.
2. What information can the HUD display?
(Note: The following information may not be available, it will be different according to the configuration of the HUD)
1. Current vehicle speed. It is the most basic information of HUD. On urban roads where speed limit cameras are ubiquitous, this information is particularly important when driving with the highest speed limit or when decelerating in front of the camera.
2. Navigation information. This is very useful information, especially when there are many cars and roads in the city for navigation.
3. The red fault mark and red fault light appear, which means that the car will have a great safety hazard when driving.
4. Driving assistance information, such as speed limit display, active lane keeping information, cruise information, etc., when using the car's high-tech and adjusting, these information can be displayed on the HUD, so that the driver does not need to look down at the instrument to adjust.
